This “Resistance Cannot Be Stopped” project is a group assignment under the direction of Professor Cohen-Aponte as an integrated part of her course Introduction to Latin American Art in the spring semester of 2019.

 

The project involves a collaboration with the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) in Ithaca to create a series of pedagogical posters highlighting the intersections of art and resistance in Latin America. These posters will be used to teach community members about revolutionary histories and artworks that are often excluded from the canon. Along with original posters, new images of Latin American Art from different periods are also included in the galleries, showing the idea of resistance in various ways.
